Penicillin


- A group of antibiotics which derived from fungi (Penicillium). they are the first drug which effectively against previous serious disease such as Syphilis and Staphylococcus infections. Although same bacteria are highly resistant, Penicillium are widely used until now on.



Genetic Modification

- Direct human manipulation on organism's genetic material which does not occur under natural condition. it including the usage of 'recombinant DNA'' techniques. The most familiar in genetic modification is ''insertion'' of new genetic material at unspecified location in the host genome, followed by isolating and copying genetic of interest. this technique are applied in research, medicine and biotechnology.



Tryptophan

- Plants and organism synthesize tryptophan from shikimic acid (Japanese flower, star anise) and anthranilate (vitamin L, present in dye, perfume). consumption of turkey meat result in drowsiness (strong desire for sleep, human bod become sleepy in response to infection)
